To stay cool in the heat, grommets have been conveniently placed as well as a back vent, allowing both hot air to travel away from the head whilst bringing in the cooler, water air. For moisture management, an internal wicking sweatband quickly expels perspiration away from the head. Tilley have designed the Paddlers Hat to be fully water repellent with the inclusion of Schoeller® Technologies ecorepel®. In any unfortunate circumstance where your Paddlers Hat may fall in the water, it is fully buoyant.
